Why join a football club when you can join a football family?

Award-winning South London Laces was founded by Beth Towle and Emily Hill in 2016 who felt that a football club shouldn't just be about achievement, it should be a family. This ethos is carried through the Laces community and is visible on and off the pitch. In our debut season, we were promoted as champions of GLWFL Division 3 and awarded “Active Wandsworth Sports Club/Organisation of the Year” in 2017.

The fundamental values of the club focus around community, development, inclusion and enjoyment. Everyone at Laces understands the importance of the balance between enjoying ourselves as individuals and a team, whilst also striving to progress. Combined with our sister clubs, Hackney and Limehouse Laces, Laces is part of a big football family.

Our squad is a welcoming and friendly group and a mixture of different nationalities who all enjoy playing, learning and developing as a team. With that being said, our friendly environment means we also socialise away from the football pitch.

We have an 11-a-side first team and are also committed to providing sessions for all abilities be that via our winter futsal events and open sessions: as we feel that trials don't offer players or clubs the best format to understand whether they are right for each other, we invite players to join in with our Open Sessions to give new players an opportunity to play with other new players and current squad members.

So, whether you are an experienced player, have taken a break from the game, or consider yourself a beginner, we are confident that South London Laces is right for you.

11-a-side First Team
On Sundays we play competitively across South London against other teams in the GLWFL Division 2 South. Training is on Thursdays 7:30-9pm at Kennington Park Astro.
