The Ipswich Jets are launching their 2026 Pickleball League at Just Lifestyle Gym, Redbank - a social, fun, and competitive way to get on court and be part of something new.

The League is open to all skill levels except anyone with a DUPR rating over 3.5 (if you don’t have one, this won’t apply to you), and you must be over 18.

This League starts the second season of Pickleball under the Ipswich Jets banner, combining a friendly environment with the same professionalism and community spirit that the Jets are known for across all their programs.

LEAGUE OVERVIEW

·       Venue: Just Lifestyle Gym – Redbank

·       Start Date: Tuesday 3 March 2026

·       Time: 5:30pm – 7.15pm (note the later start time!)

·       Duration: 8-weeks – with the 8^th week being finals

·       Cost: $250 per team – covers all session fees

·       Paddle Hire is available at a cost of $10 per paddle per session, or bring your own

LEAGUE FORMAT - (New for 2026 – please read carefully)

·       Structure: Two pools of equal size, with a maximum of 10 teams per pool. Every match counts.

·       Player eligibility: Only the players registered for that night are eligible to compete. No substitutions, no rotations. The team that steps on the court is the team that plays both games.

·       Match format: Each team will play two official league matches per night. Matches will rotate between Pool A and Pool B to keep the action constant. More games, more points to win (and lose!)

·       Duration: Games will be played to 20 minutes or first to 11 points, whichever comes first, with a win-by-two rule in effect. Expect tight finishes.

·       Finals qualification: The top four teams from each pool after round 7, will advance to Finals. From there, it’s straight competition to determine final placings and crown the standings. Earn your spot.

 

Please note: Teams must arrive by 5:30pm, with games starting promptly at 5:40pm. Pool A and Pool B will alternate the opening time slot. If your team is not present and ready to play at the scheduled start time, the opposing team will be awarded the points. There are no grace periods.

 

Due to the competitive format filling all available court time, there will be no social play on league nights outside of scheduled matches, unless your games conclude within the allocated timeframe.

 

Further details will be provided on the first night of competition. Come prepared and ready to compete.

 

PRIZE POOL

Prizes: $400 for first place team, $250 for second place and $100 for third place. Each podium position will also receive a trophy.
