Coed Doubles & Gender-Blind quads will be played Sunday, 31st

Key "Old School" rules

• Large Court (30x60)
• Sideout scoring
• No Let serves (serve touching the net)
• Block does not count as a touch
• No open-hand tips, sets or pushes over the net

B division will use rally scoring

If pool play is not on track to finish on time (check in around around 4pm) we may need to switch to rally scoring for the end of pool play. We need playoffs to start right around 5pm to insure we aren’t playing in the dark.

Point differential will be used for ranking, but not as a tie breaker for eliminating teams. If there is a tie for a playoff spot, teams will have a play-in game to 7 (cap at 7)

SANDBAGGING POLICY

Sandbagging is playing below your level in order to win more easily, usually for prizes or clout. We want to keep offering cash prizes, so don't sandbag and ruin it for everyone. Remember these are all amateur divisions, and while this is competitive volleyball we want everyone to have a good time and keep the spirit of fair play.

General guidelines

• You should register for the division of the highest level player on your doubles team.
• For quads there is a bit more wiggle room, since there are specialized positions, but the average level of your team should be the level you are registered for.
• If you have placed (1st or 2nd) in your division twice you should move up to the next level
  While we would prefer to keep a light touch, we reserve the right to move teams to a more appropriate division if their play history indicates that they are in the wrong division.

Merch/Opensports credit for B and BB

If there are not enough teams to fill a divisions, we may combine divisions

NOTES

• 8:00-8:30 check-in, 8:45 start
• Tournament shirts and other shirts available for purchase while supplies last
• Your teammates must sign the waiver by joining your team, help is available if this proves difficult
• Refunds can be issued until 9pm the night before the tournament. There are no refunds for no-shows
• We will be grilling for donations to the Philly Beach Fund
