COACHING + COMPETITION:
SESSION: Skills and Drills + Same Partner Doubles
➡️ Please note this session is not suitable for a "Come & Try"

Join Pickle Kit’s Skills & Drills + Round Robin session, where you’ll pair up with your nominated partner and take on all other teams in the group. The session kicks off with targeted drills to build foundational skills for Beginner to Intermedate level players — including net play, shot selection, and movement. This is followed by scheduled matches, with reserves rotated in using the Round Robin sheet. Match results are tallied and shared in the group chat afterward.

Teams
👤Sign up and nominate your partner OR Don't have a partner? Sign up solo and leave the "partner" spot open for someone else to join your team.
👤Can't book into the same team with your partner? No problem! As long as there are two spots left, book those spots. Then simply message Zak with your partner's name, and he'll arrange it on the night.
👤Choose any team name! You don't have to keep the same team name each week.

SKILL LEVELS:

💪Which skill level do I choose?
The court level you choose when booking depends on your skill level. If you’re unsure, contact Coach Zak to ensure a great experience for everyone. Due to court availability and session bookings, the Pickle Kit hosts may need to combine skill levels or move players between courts.

• Come & Try: New to pickleball? Start here. Our ‘Come & Try’ sessions introduce you to the rules, scoring, court positioning, and basic gameplay. A must-do before joining any match play sessions.
• Beginner Practice: Already completed a Come & Try? This session helps reinforce the fundamentals. You’ll revisit the rules, work on your court positioning, and play friendly games to build confidence before joining social match play.
• Beginner: You’ve got a handle on the basics — scoring, positioning, and how to play a match. Beginner Social Play is for players who can serve and return consistently, hold a short rally, and are developing their skills like volleys and dinks. Not quite there yet? Join another Beginner Practice first.
• Beginner+: This is a significant step up from our ‘Beginner’ level. It’s designed for players with more on-court experience — you can rally consistently, understand positioning, and are ready for a faster-paced, more competitive social hit. You’ll be developing your drops and drives as part of your gameplay.
• Intermediate: You can handle a faster-paced game, including net play and drive volleys. You’ve got a solid understanding of court positioning and are strategically using dinks and drop shots during play.

VENUES:
📍Undercover Courts at Mitchelton State High School - Entry via 19 Turnbull St, Mitchelton
📍Indoor Centre at Arana Hills - Entry via The Hills District PCYC

🚗 Each venue offers on-site and street parking.
⏰ Arrive within 15 minutes before the start time. Players can warm up during this time. Match Play starts 10 minutes after the session begins.

PICKLE KIT Court Conduct:
At Pickle Kit, players must be respectful, punctual, considerate, and fair. Players found not adhering to these standards will be excluded from all Pickle Kit events.
