This session is suitable for High Intermediate / Advanced only

Eligibility for this session:

A minimum DUPR of 3.0 and over.

Anyone who has won a medal (gold,silver,bronze) in an official pickleball tournament in a 3.0 and over division but their DUPR has not yet reflected this capability.

Exclusion criteria-

Anyone with a DUPR under 3.0 (PMC has the right to assess competency and remove players to maintain the playing level this session is aimed at.

Skills required:

CONSISTENCY!

Able to consistently hit the ball over the net with both hard and soft game play.

Have an ability to reset the ball.

Understand the tactics and strategy of doubles in the pickleball game and use teamwork to win the point or gain advantage.

Able to move in and out of the non volley zone at appropriate times and anticipate the opponent's plays.

Understand the 3rd shot drop and know when to use it to an advantage.

Confident to handle anything
presented to them in the non volley zone.

Able to place the balls with reliable depth.

Consistent serving.

Non-members of Pickleball Victoria (PV) are welcome to participate. However, due to insurance requirements, bookings are only available for up to four weeks from the first visit. After this period, non-members must register with PV or sign a Risk Warning and Liability Waiver. During registration with PV, you will be prompted to select a club—please choose Pickleball Manningham Club to unlock a $5 member discount for all sessions.

Please note that any person under the age of eighteen (18) must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

By joining this session, you acknowledge and accept that you must comply with the PMC Code of Conduct (tap here) and Pickleball Etiquette (tap here) . These guidelines are mandatory and exist to protect the safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment of all participants.

All players must:

  • Respect all participants at all times—no abusive, aggressive, intimidating, or demeaning behaviour will be tolerated.
  • Follow the rules and principles of fair play, including correct scoring, honest line calls, and treating all opponents equally.
  • Avoid unsportsmanlike conduct, including arguing, provocation, targeting weaker players, or showing frustration (e.g. hitting balls away).
  • Use appropriate language and conduct at all times.
  • Vacate courts promptly after games when others are waiting.

Consequences

Failure to follow these requirements may result in:

  • A verbal warning,
  • Immediate removal from the session, and/or
  • Referral to the club committee for further action under the Code of Conduct.

The club has zero tolerance for behaviour that compromises safety, respect, or the integrity of play.

If you witness or experience behaviour that breaches these standards, please report it immediately to the Person In Charge of the session.
