These sessions will focus on developing the skills and court awareness that help take players to the next level in a fun, supportive environment. Rather than purely social games, the emphasis will be on learning, repetition and improving technique through targeted drills and match-play scenarios. Towards the end of the session, a game will be played to put your newly acquired skills into practice.

Some of the areas that may be covered include:

• Third shot drops and resets
• Dinking consistency and placement
• Transition zone play
• Split stepping and controlled movement to the kitchen line (instead of charging there at full speed!)
• Volley technique and hand speed
• Court positioning and doubles strategy
• Serve and return depth
• Communication and teamwork

Sessions will be suitable for players who already have a solid understanding of the game and are looking to improve their consistency, strategy and overall court craft.

We encourage members to come along with a willingness to learn, practise and have fun.

COST: $6. Pay when you book in (See Refund policy below)

ADDRESS: Avalon Beach Reserve - Barrenjoey Road. The courts are more or less across the road from the Fire Station on the western side of the creek. See Google Maps for exact location.

PARKING: There are various places to park around the courts. If you park on the ocean side of Careel Creek at the Surf Club, you can either walk around the skate park or cross over the bridge further north and walk through the dog park.

REFUND POLICY: Only book in if you are committed to attending. If you cancel your registration by the Cancellation deadline, by default, you will receive an account credit.
If the Club cancels the event, everyone will receive a refund without having to request one. Detailed information on Refunds/Credits.
