This session is a Mixed Format session for INTERMEDIATE to ADVANCED players (DUPR equivalent 3.0-4.49). Please do not book into this session unless you have experience playing successfully at this level. Read the player description below for clarification.

Please contact the host if you are unsure. If you don't meet the standard, at the host's discretion, you may be removed from the session (particularly if there is a waitlist) and a session will be recommended that is more appropriate for your current skill level.

The session may be a round robin format, king/queen of the court or any other fair play rotation that the host decides upon. The method chosen will allow for a mix of partners and equal number of byes where practicable. Long duration games. NO BYES.

Please arrive 10 minutes prior to start time for check-in and preparation.

Player description:

• Typically, participants will have played in one or more tournaments or feel confident in doing so.
• You can generally hit both forehand and backhand drives, serves, and returns with pace and a high degree of accuracy.
• You can hit dinks, drop shots and volleys (including block volleys) of different speeds and have consistency and control, allowing you to sustain a rally.
• You understand both the rules and strategy of pickleball (including stacking).
• You show good court awareness, while moving and communicating effectively with a partner.
• You have a moderate number of unforced errors. and you accept that other players will use tactics when playing that may include capitalising on any weakness in their opponents' game.
• You understand that an advanced player of pickleball does not constantly play from the baseline of the court and approaches the non-volley line. This should be with intent and ASAP when receiving, and with patience when serving as you ‘earn’ control of the net with your partner.
