This is a Special DTBA organised Badminton Event with the support of a Manningham Council Community Grant, a Healthy Ageing project for older Adults...
DTBA has assigned 24 Spots out of 36 to support this initiative.
The following conditions apply.
Event will run for Limited Time for Over 60yrs old Seniors in Manningham - ticket price is $4 per player every Thursday Morning AM session.
22 Spots are for DTBA over 60yrs members
2 Spots are for external over 60yrs local Guests
On a First come First serve basis
Prices thereafter once these spots are taken will be at the usual DTBA event prices.

Minimum requirement for Badminton beginners:
To ensure a fun and enjoyable experience for all, we kindly request that participants have a basic understanding of badminton fundamentals:

1. Basic stroke skills: able to hit the shuttle comfortably
2. Serving skills: able to perfor all m a basic serve
3. Familiarity with basic rules:
   • Scoring system
   • Faults, out, serving
   • Game and match structure

RSVP Rules:
- Member RSVP & 2 Special Guest will be visible 6 days before the start time of the event (as an example, Bookings will be available from 23/08 Friday 9am for an event that starts on 29/08 Thursday 9am)
- Guest RSVP will only be visible 24hours before the start time of the event
- There is a no refund policy on any cancellation within 8 hours before the start time of the event

Duration:
Session lengths vary between 2 hours and 3 hours. Please refer to the listed time for the event you wish to RSVP for.

Capacity:
- 2-hour sessions: Maximum capacity of 36 players
- 3-hour sessions: Maximum capacity of 48 players

Game Allocation:
A computer Game Scheduler allocates games and courts to players at 20-minute intervals. The system assigns games based on player grades, but may occasionally pair players from different grades.
Players are not allowed to switch places in Allocated Game without consent of
Supervisor.

Arrival Time:
If players have arrived late after their session commences, their spot in the game will be filled by replacements, and the allocated game time (i.e., the entire 20 minutes) is forfeited.

Waiting List:
When an event is fully booked, you can join the waiting list in the OpenSports app. You'll see your rank in the queue and receive a notification if a spot becomes available, giving you time to accept it. Game Arrangement:
To better assist players to arrange games for them play with their peers and to assist with supervisors to keep track of these arrangements, we would like to introduce the following protocol:

1. Only one arranged game is allowed per session per player.
2. A formal game request sheet must be filled and signed by all players in the arrangement.
3. Each player in an arrangement is considered to have their arranged game quota consumed (i.e., Player A has arranged game with Player B, both Players A and B cannot be part of another arranged game in the same session.)
   Supervisors are responsible in arranging games; players are not authorised to instruct supervisors on game arrangements.

Shuttles allocation:
Max new shuttles will be capped at 2 per Round.
Shuttle must be broken to be able to get a replacement shuttle
Unless
If broken within the last 5 minutes of the Round, no new shuttle will be provided.
After that, players are expected to recycle old shuttles from the Floor.

Parking:
All-day parking is available around the Stadium

*DTBA has a ZERO Tolerance policy to Supervisor Abuse in any form or manner. You will be asked to leave premises or Authorities will be called.
