We're Back On Ice...All sessions will be held inside the AIH...LETS GO!!!
Mite Skills Training with Hockey Director Troy MacCormick
Open to Birth Years 2012-13-14 ONLY.
Open to kids who are current or past Youth House or Select level.
Ashburn Xtreme 2012 and Xtreme Mite Selects can join this group if they meet the age requirement.
Full hockey gear required.
This is NOT a learn to play program. Experience is required.
Group size is capped at 25 skaters.
Each session will consist of Power Skating drills, Puck Control, Shooting, and Passing Development. Due to VA State Guidelines in Phase 2, we are not able to scrimmage or design drills that require players to be battling against each other. We are hopeful this will be allowed in Phase 3.
Parents who are registering their child must register at the zero dollar rate parent rate and it will then prompt you to add your child as a guest and complete registration/payment for the player.
Locker rooms will NOT be available. Players must show up dressed. NO BAGS may be brought into the facility.
We have a temporary check in table located inside the main entrance vestibule. This is where you will continue to check in for any retail appointments, off ice activities, as well as on ice activities.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your activity but be aware you may be asked to wait outside until 5 minutes before your activity begins. You may be required to show proof of purchase of your session. Please have the OpenSports app downloaded on your phone in case we need to review any activities.
All individuals entering the facility will be required to have their temperature measured by a no contact thermometer. Individuals who have a temperature above 100.4 will not be permitted access to the facility or allowed to participate in any Ashburn Ice House activity.
Athletes should bring their own CLEARLY LABELED FILLED WATER BOTTLE for all activities. We will not have water fountains available.
Face coverings are mandatory in the facility. They may be removed when on the ice.
Benches will be set up inside each rink to allow skaters to put on their skates prior to getting on the ice.
Upon the conclusion of an activity, skaters will be asked to leave the building immediately so we have ample time to disinfect between customers and activities.
Spectators are not allowed at this time. We encourage parents to remain in their vehicle in the parking lot during lessons/activity. However, we will make accommodations for younger skaters
Locker rooms, water fountains, and vending machines will be off-limits until further notice.
