PICKLEBALL FUN COMMUNITY (PFC):
Battle of the Gladiators Men's Doubles Round Robin Competition

• Player Level: Advanced Beginner to Advance Intermediate (DUPR Rating 2.5 - 3.99)

• DUPR Rating: Match Results will be added in DUPR. We will help set up your DUPR account. Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) is the most accurate and only global rating system in Pickleball.

• Warm Up: 11:30 am - 12:00 pm

• Competition Time: 12:00 pm - 2: 00 pm

ROUND ROBIN MATCH PLAY:

• If you don't have a partner for your team, we will help find you one.
• Most teams will play each other throughout the competition.
• Matches will be played with the winning team being the first to reach 11 points (no 2-point margin) or until time runs out.
• Each match will have 12 mins.
• At the end of each match the score must be provided and passed on to Jay McLean for recording on the OpenSports app, by ONE Member of EACH Team.

MEDAL MATCHES:

• Medal matches (top 4 teams) will play first to 11 points, with a 2-point margin or when time runs out. Medal matches will be 15 mins of match play.
• The Top 2 teams of the Round Robin (Team Standings Ranking 1 & 2) will play for Gold Medal while the next 2 top teams (Team Standings Ranking 3 & 4) will play for the Bronze Medal.
• At the end of these matches, the team members will be awarded Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.
• The Gold and Silver medal teams will also receive complimentary 60min doubles drills and strategy sessions to further develop their doubles game.
• As a medal awardee, you will have the opportunity to be selected for the “TEAMFUN” VIC OPEN Pickleball Championships 2024. Specialised Strategies and Drills Training with Pickleball FUN Community Boot Camps will be set up in preparation for VIC OPEN 2024! This will be AWESOMELY FUN for SURE!! :)

POINTS SYSTEM:

• 3 points will be awarded to a team for a win, with real-time ladder standings being updated per match results on the OpenSports app Tournament section
• Rankings (or Standings) will be determined from team points first, followed by head-to-head results between the two relevant teams that will decide a higher ranking.

SUBSTITUTE PLAYERS:

• If a team member is unable to play a substitute can be arranged. Every effort should be made by the team to find a substitute with a similar level of ability to that of the unavailable player.
