Session Structure (90–150 min)
1st Half: Drills on Specific Skill Set (45–60 min)
Warm-up (10 min)
Light footwork drills
Short dinking exchanges (focus on control and consistency)
Skill Drills (30–40 min, adjust based on focus skill)
Dinking Drill: Cross-court and straight-on dinking with a focus on consistency, control, and footwork.
Volleys & Blocks: Reaction-based drills to handle fast volleys and reset the ball.
3rd Shot Drops & Drives: Alternating between a drop shot and a drive, practicing decision-making.
Transition Zone Play: Working on movement from the baseline to the kitchen line effectively.
2nd Half: Game Play with Skill Application (45–60 min)
Controlled Games (20–30 min)
Players must incorporate the skill learned in a structured mini-game. (e.g., dinking-only rallies, drive-and-drop scenarios)
Point play but focused on practicing the drilled skill.
Open Play with Coaching Feedback (20–60min)
Players compete in normal games but receive feedback on incorporating the skills they practiced.
Rotate partners and mix matchups to keep gameplay dynamic.
Key Notes:
Emphasize proper technique over winning points.
Provide real-time feedback but keep it constructive and brief.
Encourage self-reflection after each match: What worked? What needs improvement?
Not suitable for beginners ( come and try)
