This class is designed for the dancer who has participated in our Beginner Ballet in the past (at least 3-4 sessions) OR for the dancer who has some experience with ballet in the past and understand ballet terminology, basic placement and positions.
Taught by The Movement Project Founder, Lindsay Daniels, the class will work through traditional barre exercises and finish the class in the centre where you will apply all of your skills in ballet combinations. An excellent class looking to improve their understanding of ballet foundations or looking to "get back into it".
Modifications are always available if needed so you can push yourself accordingly. Low stress, lots of encouragement and an inclusive environment. Please let your instructor know in advance if you are managing any health concerns they should be aware of.
Attire: Bodysuit and tights are NOT required (although welcomed if you feel great in it!) Please wear what you are comfortable in. Ballet shoes, bare foot or sock feet are all options (we believe ballet shoes are ideal if you can swing it). Leggings, a fitted tank or t-shirt for example are all great options for class.
This 4 week session runs consecutively from Sunday, May 25th- Sunday, June 22nd 4-5pm NOTE that there is NO CLASS on JUNE 1st as the studio is booked for another event
All classes are held at Jennifer's Arts in Motion in Whitby. Note the time change from the previous session
Please note At least 7 registered dancers are required for this class to run. Full refund will be issued 24 hours in advance if the class needs to be cancelled due to low enrolment*
Refund Policy
Full refunds are available up until 24 hours before the class start time. There are no class credits or refunds provided with less than 24 hours notice.
Cancellations before the deadline will give you a full refund. Cancellations after the deadline are not refundable.
