🔥FyreStorm⚡

FyreStorm is where you play with the same partner for the entire session in Pickle Hub’s competition style play using a modified King/Queen of the Court format. This session is for intermediate or above players. Your DUPR must be 3.2 or above to play in this session.

⚡How is FyreStorm different to Fyreball?

FyreStorm works with the same game play format as Fyreball however you choose your starting partner and will stick with them for every game in the session.

If you do not select a starting partner, our system will match you up with another player.

🎯What’s DUPR?

DUPR is an international pickleball rating system that tracks player’s ratings. With each game entered in DUPR, players’ ratings are adjusted based on the score of the game and the ratings of the opponents they were playing.
When you checkin you will be asked if you want your session scores recorded in DUPR or not.

🎯Creating your DUPR account
You will need to setup your DUPR account that is linked to Pickle Hub (it’s free to setup).
1️⃣ Download and install the DUPR app on your phone and create your free DUPR account.
2️⃣ Join Pickle Hub Club on DUPR: Open the DUPR app, tap the Clubs button (down the bottom), search for Pickle Hub, tap Pickle Hub, then tap the Join button.

💁 Choosing your partner etiquette

• You can choose a male or female partner.
• Your partner does not have to be the same skill level as you.
• The partner you select is for the current session. You don’t have to choose the same partner as a previous session. You can choose a different partner for a future session.
• You can pre-arrange a partner, or you can wait to see who is playing in the session.
• For players who don’t select a partner, those players will be allocated a partner by the court allocation system.
• ⚠️ When you arrive, look at the check-in tablets to see who is playing in the session. Before checking-in, if you see a player you would like to partner with, ask that player if they would like to join with you for the session.
• If you have pre-arranged a partner, you can check-in yourself and your partner.

👑 Players will play across multiple courts in a showdown to be crowned the Kings/Queens of the court aka the Head Gerkins. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to rise through the ranks and become the ultimate Head Gerkins! Out-pickle your opponents, out-dill your competition, and claim your spot as the Head Gerkins!

🏆 It's called FyreStorm because the competition will be scorching hot. Loads of non-stop action, so bring your A-game because rest breaks may, or may not, be served up.

💁 Select your partner at check-in and the system will check you both in and keep you together for the full session.

🎯 At check-in select if you want your game scores entered in DUPR (defaults to Yes)

👏 The winning team goes to the next court (eg win on court 3 you move to court 2).

😿 The losing team go to any of the on-court tablets, enter the score for the game and wait to see what court they will be allocated to next. Please do this ASAP at the end of your game. You may have to wait for other games to finish before the system can allocate your next game.

💡Swap sides halfway through your match when you reach 11 points.

🕘 You can continue to play on the courts until 9pm, then please complete your game. If you could find all the balls and make sure they are in the buckets before you leave your court that would be appreciated.

🏟️ Venue

Located at the Yeronga State High School, parking is available in the car park that you enter via Gate #8 located at the end of Oakwood Street. Please enter 2 Oakwood St into your GPS to be taken directly to the Gate #8 car park entrance.
