Handling a team at the net - Pickleball 103

Pickleball 103 is lesson #3 of the Pickle Hub Lessons Program.

This action-packed lesson will empower you with the skills, practice and tactics you need to ‘Handle a Team at the Net’.

This lesson focuses on the first and 3rd shots of a point - the serve and a groundstroke shot called a drive.

You’ll also learn and practice skills and strategies including:

  • How to start the point to gain an advantage on your opponents
  • How to cause trouble for your opponents at the net
  • How to hit the ball fast and hard so your opponents have less time to prepare

Played before?

If you’ve previously played pickleball or you’ve previously attended an ‘Intro to Pickleball’ or ‘Come and Try’ Pickleball session, you can jump straight into the Pickleball 102/Lesson 2 if you wish. Though we encourage you to do the Pickleball 101 Lesson 1 first, as there are tactics and strategies you’re sure to want to know that aren’t covered in most other Come and Try sessions.

Progression of Lessons

Each Pickle Hub program lesson builds upon what you learned in the previous lesson. Pickleball 102, builds on top of what you learned in Introduction to Pickleball 101. It’s important that you attend the Lessons in sequence, from Lesson 2, then 3, then 4, followed by 5.
