Our February Challenge was a success and we're excited to offer it again for March! Join us this month for a new four-week challenge that holds you accountable for meeting simple wellness habits while being motivated by some friendly competition.

This challenge is unique because it is customized to help you form personalized healthy habits that last. The playing field is level: whether you already work out every day, you haven't haven't been active in months, or you are somewhere in between, the tasks that earn you points are set accordingly. EVERYONE WILL BE CHALLENGED.

EMO Fitness Members can join the challenge for free. Non-Members can register for $20.21. This challenge includes one (optional) free class per week with EMO Fitness.

The Grand Prize for the champion is something everyone will be vying to win (as there will only ever be 1 in the whole world): the coveted March 2021 EMO Fitness Challenge Champion shirt. If you win, this shirt will be customized in size/fit and personalized with your name. Yes indeed, you can wear this shirt proudly for months and years to come to commemorate your awesomeness.

We know more than one person will crush it in this challenge this month, but there can only be one winner. If you don't win the champion shirt this month, don't fret, you'll get another chance next month!

How it works: Our Facebook Group will be the hub for announcements, motivation, and our weekly Sunday livestreams where we give an update on the challenge standings, call out some of the biggest wins of the week, and fire you up with some motivation for the next week. If you miss the livestream, it will be recorded and available for you to watch at any time in the facebook group. If you need an extra push or have questions, the coaches and members will step in to hold you accountable through the EMO Fitness facebook group. This is also where you can share some wins during the week so we can cheer you on!

You will track your points on a google sheet. The link for this will be sent out a few days before the challenge begins. The Challenge will always begin on a Monday and will always be 4 weeks long. The first Sunday livestream will be the day before the challenge begins, which is where we will make sure everyone has finalized their personal goal for the month.

Goals: We're not doing before and after pictures. We're not even doing weigh-ins or measurements. The goal of this challenge is to form healthy habits. This includes movement and conscious eating along with one personal goal that you'll set.

Tip for setting your personal goal: If your first thought is to lose 20 pounds, or a couple inches in the waist, the goal we actually want you to set is one obvious step for achieving that outcome. For example, if you know cutting back on beer or soda is an obvious thing you need to do, this might be your personal goal.

If you struggle with sleeping, consider setting a goal of getting to bed by a certain time or switching to reading instead of screen-time. We'll ask you to share your goal with the organizers (Lynn and Emily) before the challenge starts to make sure:

  • you'll be on track to form a healthy habit
  • it's challenging
  • and it's measurable (something that can be done daily or x times a week).

You DO NOT need to work out with our live EMO Fitness zoom workouts to participate (But you are definitely welcome to join as a member for the month or purchase a 5-pack!). You are welcome to utilize your own equipment, workout videos, etc. However, if you join this challenge, you'll have access to 1 free class per week. Classes with Coach Lynn and Coach Emily are held via Zoom M-F at 7:00am and Saturdays 8:30am (all CST). To participate in one of our classes, you'll register through the OpenSports app or website.
