SHADEHUNTERS UNITE - If this is a favourite session for you, be sure to check each week whether it is running at Nissan Arena, Hibiscus Stadium or Mt Gravatt Rec Hall. These are our three indoor venues, and the session location may change depending on venue availability.

While we’re thrilled to have you join us, there are levels to suit every player, we are dedicated to fun, friendship and skill development. These sessions are run entirely by volunteers.

This session now Includes Intermediate Competitive (3.0-3.49) and High Intermediate (3.5 and above) to Advanced (4.0 and above) session. Players attending this session should be:

-          moving to the net after returning serve and working with their partner,

-          able to reset from the transition zone to get to the net,

-          have the ability to change pace of their shots; and

-          stay in rallies for longer by anticipating where the ball will go and where they can place it to move their opponents around.

Intermediate Competitive level is usually still working on developing and building consistency with these higher level skills. Games at High Intermediate/Advanced level are faster, harder, more reactive and require more construction of points & higher levels of decision-making.

To ensure everyone has a fantastic session with high-quality, balanced games, our hosts will be organizing courts into skill-matched groups. By grouping players with similar levels of consistency, shot placement, and strategy, we aim to create an environment where everyone feels both supported and challenged. This helps ensure every game is played at an ideal 'stretch' level for your specific stage of development.

Hosts will run a variety of session types based on the participants who join. If needed, they will provide feedback to ensure the session is the right fit for you. The host may change the group you are playing with depending on level of skills within the group and your level of skill to ensure everyone has competitive, fun games.
