🐦‍⬛ Round Robin Partner Pickleball

This session uses a round robin format where you will play with the same partner for the entire session.

Games will be played using the Pickle Hub modified rally scoring format to 21 points. Find out more about this rally scoring format here.

💁 Choosing your partner

  • When you check-in, you will be able to select your partner for the session.
  • You can choose a male or female partner.
  • Your partner does not have to be the same skill level as you.
  • The partner you select is for the current session. You don’t have to choose the same partner as a previous session. You can choose a different partner for a future session.
  • You can pre-arrange a partner, or you can wait to see who is playing in the session.
  • For players who don’t select a partner, those players will be allocated a partner by the court allocation system, matching the closest DUPR rated available player.
  • ⚠️ When you arrive, look at the check-in tablets to see who is playing in the session. Before checking-in, if you see a player you would like to partner with, ask that player if they would like to join with you for the session.
  • If you have pre-arranged a partner, you can check-in yourself and your partner. Please wait for both players to arrive before checking in.

⚖️ Skill levels and court allocations

Pickleball is the most fun when you are playing with players of a similar skill level to you. For player safety and enjoyment and to facilitate players being matched to a court with players of a similar skill level, we use DUPR ratings to allocate players to courts.

If a player does not yet have a DUPR rating, the skill level selected when booking will determine the court they play on for the session.

To determine your court allocations, your DUPR will be added to your partner’s DUPR. Your team’s combined DUPR will be used to match you on a court with a team with the closest combined DUPR rating.

You will play against multiple teams, with the closest combined DUPRs.

💁 Select your partner at check-in and the system will check you both in and keep you together for the full session.
🎯 At check-in select if you want your game scores entered in DUPR
⏰ First games are allocated at the start of the session based on who has checked in by that time.
👀 View any of the tablets for your assigned game. Find your partner and proceed to the designated court. Keep your warm-up to a few minutes then begin your match.
👁️‍🗨️ Please make sure you have set a profile picture in open sports, otherwise you will be randomly allocated an AI generated image.
💡Swap sides halfway through your match when you reach 11 points.

🎾Have you played pickleball before?

This session is for people who have played pickleball before. This session is not suited to beginners.

If you are new to pickleball, you will need to attend an Introduction to Pickleball session before joining a game play session. Introduction to Pickleball sessions are available at Yeronga.

If you’ve previously played tennis, though you haven’t played pickleball before, you will need to attend the Introduction to Pickleball session.

🎯What’s DUPR?

DUPR is an international pickleball rating system that tracks player’s ratings. With each game entered in DUPR, players’ ratings are adjusted based on the score of the game and the ratings of the opponents they were playing. When you check-in you will be asked if you want your game scores recorded in DUPR or not. Game scores are automatically entered by Pickle Hubs Fyre Court system into DUPR - there is nothing you need to do after creating your DUPR account.

📱 Creating your DUPR account

You will need to setup your DUPR account that is linked to Pickle Hub (it’s free to setup).
1️⃣ Download and install the DUPR app on your phone and create your free DUPR account.
2️⃣ Tap here to join the Pickle Hub club on DUPR.

👍 Fair dink em' gameplay

At Pickle Hub, we believe that everyone deserves equal court time to play and have fun. Fair dink em’ gameplay means everyone gets the same amount of time on the court.
