THIS SESSION IS FOR ADVANCED PLAYERS ONLY. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK INTO THIS SESSION IF YOU ARE NOT CONSIDERED TO BE A GENUINE ADVANCED PLAYER. READ THE ADVANCED PLAYER DESCRIPTION BELOW FOR CLARIFICATION.

This will be a RR format but using the league scramble system.

Rally based scoring, this means that every point you score with your partner matters as well as any points scored against you. The 8 game session that you will play allows a maximum of 88 points that you can score, or 88 points scored against you. It does not matter which group that you are allocated to, the group seeding just enables players of similar skill levels to face off against each other normally meaning a tougher longer game that will test you, but hopefully be more fun as well.

This is a Co-ed Doubles Ladder Scramble for ADVANCED players.

2 Groups of 9 will be formed. Players over the 18 will be waitlisted. One round will be played each 2 hour session each week. Each round, players are divided into groups based on their ranking in the ladder

WHAT is a SCRAMBLE? Players sign up individually. Each week players are put into groups and partner with each of the other players in their group. So each player plays with a different partner in their group.

WHAT is CO-ED? Any combination of gender can play. Note - players will enter into this bracket based on their doubles skill not with their mixed doubles skill.

PICKLEBALL BRACKETS

The league will be run under a program called Pickleball Brackets. All players will need a Pickleball Brackets profile. All results and positioning on ladder will be visible on https://www.Pickleballbrackets.com

DUPR

Because we would also like to advance players DUPR rating, we require all players to have a DUPR profile also. All games will be manually entered into DUPR and will go towards rankings. https://www.mydupr.com

There will be two groups of 9 nine players, Group 1 and group 2. Within your group you will play 8 matches and have one bye. The scores will be recorded and be entered into Pickleball Brackets and Dupr.

ADVANCED - you can generally hit both forehand and backhand drives, serves, and returns with pace, as well as dinks, drop shots, and volleys (including block volleys) of different speeds, and have consistency and control; and (ii) you understand the strategy and rules of pickleball (including stacking), you have a moderate number of unforced errors, and you understand how to attack your opponents’ weaknesses on the pickleball court.
You understand that an advanced player of pickleball does not play from the baseline of the court and approaches the non volley line at their earliest opportunity.
