7/3/20 UPDATE PLEASE READ CORONAVIRUS PROCEDURES BELOW - Due to the global COVID-19 crisis Philadelphia has been under a stay at home order since mid-March. Unfortunately no outside adult recreation sports have been allowed during this time. While other areas in Pennsylvania have moved to a “green” stage where adult recreation was allowed Philadelphia has been in a “modified green” stage that prohibited pick-up soccer. As of Friday, July 3 the mayor of Philadelphia published an addendum that allows for outside only adult recreational sports moving forward.

As long as certain precautions and procedures are followed we will be playing pick up soccer this Sunday and hopefully more often moving forward. This week will be free but we may charge a nominal fee going forward to cover equipment costs.

Small sided goals and a soccer ball will be provided. We used to play at Penn Park but that is a private field and has been closed during this crisis. This meet up event will be at an old pick up soccer field we used to play at in Fairmount Park West. There is free parking nearby at The intersection of Belmont mansion Drive and Chamounix Dr.

Coronavirus precaution rules are as follows:

1. EVERYONE must show up wearing a face mask. You must wear a facemask anytime you are not actively on the field playing.

2. You must bring your own water and a white shirt along with a colored shirt. No one can be sharing clothing or water and it will be hot out plus we need to differentiate teams.

3. Keep all gym bags apart 6 feet and stay apart from each other 6 feet unless you are playing in the game. Bring your own hand sanitizer. Bring a towel to control body sweat. Limit all physical contact except during actual play. If you are feeling ill or have a fever stay at home.
