🟠 Intermediate Social Play

Who is this session for?

This session is for players who have a solid understanding of the game and can sustain rallies.

It’s ideal if you:

• Are comfortable with rules, scoring, and game flow
• Can serve and return consistently
• Are starting to use dinks, volleys, and basic strategy
• Enjoy competitive rallies without it becoming overly serious

This session aims to keep games balanced and enjoyable, with players of similar skill levels matched together.

What will happen

This is a relaxed, organised social play session where players:

• Rotate on and off courts
• Mix with different partners
• Take breaks between games
• Chat, laugh and enjoy the community atmosphere

There will be more players than courts, allowing for rest time between games.

A Pickle Park coach/facilitator will be on hand to:

• Manage rotations and court flow
• Help balance games where possible
• Assist players and answer questions

Players can play as many games as they like during the session.

How to show up

• Come to play and have fun
• Be friendly, patient and inclusive
• Focus on enjoyment, movement and community rather than competition

What to bring / wear

• Pickleball paddle (Free Paddle Hire for Members + Non Members $5)
• Comfortable sportswear
• Court shoes (non-marking)
• Water bottle

PICKLE PARK HOUSE RULES

1. Intro Session Required
First-time players must complete an Intro to Pickleball session before joining Social Play, Skill & Drills or Coaching sessions.

2. Rotations & Court Flow
Social Play sessions are rotational. Players rotate on and off courts and must follow the facilitator’s rotation system.

3. Book the Right Session
Please book sessions appropriate to your ability. Example: Intermediate+ sessions are not suitable for beginners.

4. Be Inclusive & Respectful
Be welcoming, friendly and respectful. Mix with different players and support a positive on-court environment.

5. Coach / Facilitator Direction
Coaches and facilitators manage sessions, rotations and court flow. Their direction must be followed at all times.

6. Safety First
Wear non-marking court shoes, bring water and take breaks as needed. Stop play immediately if a safety issue arises.

7. Session Etiquette
Arrive on time, check in before playing and rotate off court promptly when your game finishes.

8. Equipment
Players supply their own paddles (hire available). Balls are provided during organised sessions unless stated otherwise.

9. Conduct
Unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated. Pickle Park reserves the right to remove any participant disrupting the session.

10. Enjoy the Game
Pickle Park is about community, movement and enjoyment. Play hard, be fair and have fun.
