Please note: ***priority is given to Bayside Pickleball Club members for this session. The session is very popular with Club members and will be open to non-members the day before the session only if it is not full.

For insurance purposes, all non-members of Bayside Pickleball Club joining this event must be members of Pickleball Victoria or another Pickleball Australia Association affiliate.

Self-awareness - Are you suited for this level?

  • If you are new to the game and only starting to play at a social level, this session is not suitable for you, as it spoils it for those already familiar with the game.
  • If you are missing or losing most of your shots and/or games, this level is not suitable for you, and you should join social sessions instead.
  • Please talk to the session host for advice.

Club Intermediate skills level required:
DUPR Rating level or equivalent 2.75 to 3.0

Service & stroke play abilities:

  • Consistent ability to serve and return deep.
  • Good awareness and agility on the court to move to the NVZ when the opportunity arises.
  • Play a hard game and a soft game with good control, power, height, accuracy, and consistent placement
  • Ability to control and maintain rallies – including volleying, ground strokes and dinking,
  • Ability to deal with drives and volleys at the NVZ
  • Able to maintain a rally of more than 5 to 10 shots from the baseline during a warm-up (if you cannot do this, then you are not at the required level to play in this session)

Reset the play and strategic court positioning

  • Confident in playing effective teamwork and team placement to gain an advantage
  • Understands opponents’ strengths and weaknesses and can adapt the play to gain advantage
  • A range of shots to be able to respond to different playing styles
  • Understands the importance of drop shots, and 3rd shot drop to advance to the NVZ, reset the play, or control a rally.

Members $5 (the system will recognise you at the point of payment). Non-members $10

No booking back-to-back sessions. Bookings are only allowed on the same day of the session if spots still remain.
