This week is disrupted by Basketball using the Stadium and also the Bendigo Classic.

We have decided to run a series of experienced beginner to Intermediate plus weekly Mini Tournaments.

• accommodating beginners who have playing experience through to more seasoned intermediate plus players.
• the players who decide to participate in this competition need to be aware there will be movement between courts.

** Weekly Format**
In up to 3 Divisions across 6 courts

Each division uses two courts.

• Eight players per division
• Seven rounds
• Players have a different partner each round
• Everyone plays in every round
• Games are timed at 15 minutes / Rally scoring to 15 whichever comes first
• Finish the point when time is called
• If scores are level, play one deciding point

Players receive individual points:

• Win: 3 tournament points
• Draw, if a deciding point cannot be played: 2 points
• Loss: 1 point
• One bonus point for a win by five points or more

Standings are decided by:

1. Tournament points
2. Games won
3. Points differential
4. Head-to-head result, where applicable
5. One-point playoff if still tied

Finals

After seven rounds:

• Players ranked 1–4 contest the Division Championship.
• Players ranked 5–8 contest the Division Runners Up
• Pairings: 1 and 4 versus 2 and 3
• Pairings: 5 and 8 versus 6 and 7
• Finals are one timed 15-minute game/rally scoring to 21 whichever comes first

This ensures every participant plays eight games during the session.

• Awards over a month for:
  • Most improved player
  • Best sportsmanship
  • Division champion
  • Across all courts
