Where Soccer Finds Its Rhythm Indoors

This fall, we’re opening the gym doors at MLK Rec Center to build something steady, local, and full of purpose—a futsal program that meets kids where they are and gives them a place to grow through the game.

Led by Ryan Koster—who brings over a decade of experience coaching youth across Pinellas County—this 8-week program creates space for players to show up twice a week, move with the ball, learn with intention, and play with freedom. Every session is held indoors on a hard court: faster decisions, sharper touches, more time on the ball.

Futsal is the game behind the game. It builds real skill, confidence, and connection—and we’re bringing it to Dunedin in a way that’s open, consistent, and focused on long-term development. No shortcuts. No empty promises. Just a good coach, a ball, and a space to return to.

Behind the program is Cinco Strong, a nonprofit rooted in community football across Tampa Bay. Our training model is supported by Director of Futsal Raphael Araujo, a current U.S. Men’s National Futsal Team player whose experience helps shape the sessions delivered across all of our sites.

Program Structure

Families can register for either day—or both for the full experience.

Wednesdays – Development Training
A technical session focused on footwork, control, repetition, and decision-making in tight spaces.
• Ages 7–9: 5:30–6:45 PM
• Ages 10–12: 6:45–8:00 PM

Fridays – Game Night Futsal
An open, competitive session built around small-sided games and live play. Players apply what they’ve learned and experience the game at full tempo.

What we’re building in Dunedin is bigger than a set of sessions. It’s the beginning of a long-term commitment to kids, to the community, and to the power of the game to bring people together.
