Enjoyed my time, it definitely got me better at the basics of volleyball, but the quality of the classes themselves was middling overall. The biggest issue is the fact that it's a different coach each class (I don't think this was advertised..it surprised me and everyone else), and their quality varied. None of the coaches were Bad, but some were definitely better than others, and overall none were amazing (at least for my particular learning style, perhaps).
Some examples of issues with the coaches are losing track of time / not giving us time to actually play in any way at the end of the class (which I think is important to put our skills to use, but not all allowed for this), not explaining things in clear ways (to me), such as by using vocab that we may not all know as beginners (this is also a problem in that the coaches don't know what everyone knows or what past coaches have taught so far), and also not always sticking to the lesson plan advertised fully.
I would say I want to have one consistent coach..but I'm afraid I'd get stuck with a subpar one.
I still enjoyed it enough to continue in classes and open sessions with big city. But I am a little disappointed overall.
An absolute beginner showed up brought by someone who was playing on advanced court... I got stuck with this guy who didn't know how to rotate at service change... c'mon! 20 dollars wasted!... it's not fair and very disrespectful of both of them....
