Hunter Pickleball Inc. was among the first local area associations to affiliate with PickleballNSW. Hunter Pickleball Inc. is a 'not-for-profit' organisation. It has been developing and promoting Pickleball in the Hunter Region of NSW since 2017. Through hard-work and a focus on members needs it is now able to provide a variety of venues across the cities of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

The Hub of Pickleball in the Hunter is at the Broadmeadow Basketball Stadium where there are 9 indoor courts, available for play on Monday, Tuesday and Friday. The Association also provides 8 indoor courts at the University of Newcastle Forum, Callaghan Campus on Saturday and 3 the Maitland Indoor Sports Centre on Mondays and Friday. To ensure a variety of Pickleball experiences the Association now has 4 outdoor courts at Marks Oval Floraville with the capacity for expansion. These are available most days and have lights for night time play. Hunter Pickleball administers these courts and they are open to all-comers.
