Welcome to PCYC Port Macquarie Pickleball. We operate out of the new PCYC Port Macquarie which opened in April 2024.
The centre has 8 indoor pickleball courts and is wheelchair accessible. The centre also offers a great range of facilities including; tea, coffee, snacks and cold drinks to purchase, free filtered water stations, and change rooms with toilets and showers.
We run regular weekly sessions where we cater for all players in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our demographic of players is broken up into 5 groups:
Come and Try (Beginners) - Players who are new to pickleball (including coming from other racquet sports). These players MUST complete 2 come and try sessions before moving into our social sessions.
Social - Players who have attended our Come & Try sessions and have learnt the rules, scoring, serving, court placement etc. These players are mainly interested in social hits for fun, but can play in novice if wanting more challenge and structure.
Novice - Players who have learnt the rules, scoring, serving, court placement etc but are keen to learn more and improve their skills and knowledge, and have more challenging hits.
Intermediate B - Emerging pickleball players who often come from competitive backgrounds in other racquet sports. Players at this level have no trouble scoring or the rules and have started in leagues and comps. DUPR 3.0+
Intermediate A - Experienced pickleball players who train for comps and tournaments. They can create pace, spin, and control to their shots as well as apply strategies. DUPR 3.5+
New players and visitors are always welcome. All equipment is provided. Please wear appropriate sports attire and court shoes. (Running shoes are not recommended.)
PLEASE NOTE: Players must have a current PCYC NSW annual membership which is $15 for juniors (under 18) and $30 for adults.
