Easy to Moderate Flat Water Paddle lasting 2-2.5hrs. Official SCKC Event

We will launch from the beach near Cheamkwet Park, crossing the Spokane River to access Cougar Bay on Lake Coeur d'Alene. This is an easy to moderate paddle depending on the wind. Wind may restrict who can come so please check the weather. Feel free to ask me questions! We are happy to help newer boaters.

INDIVIDUALS MUST STAY WITH THE GROUP AND WEAR PFD WHILE PADDLING.

Arrive at least 15 minutes early to unload your boat and set up your gear to start at 5:30. People will be available to help you unload and load your boats.

Wind, smoke, high temperatures or other conditions could result in event cancellation. Leader will update on OpenSports. Please check before coming.

REQUIREMENTS:
SCKC membership
Type of Boat: Recreational and up. Kayak or Canoe
Paddle
PFD
Whistle & Headlamp (getting dark earlier)
Dress for water temperature and weather.

Good Items to Bring: Dry bags, spray skirt, emergency contact info, WATER & SNACKS, headlamp, water shoes, change of clothes (in case you get wet), cap/sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses with retainer.

Each paddler is responsible to choose outings they can handle comfortably and show up at the put-in prepared and responsible for what the event entails.
