Big City Volleyball is excited to announce the return of our popular 4-week Intermediate Skills Class, designed for players 18+ years old who are looking to strengthen their fundamentals and take their game to the next level.

Intermediate Classes are designed to help every player refine the core skills of volleyball while developing proper mechanics, court awareness, and confidence in game situations all in a fun and supportive environment!

Each week of the course will focus on a key area of the game and incorporate cooperative and competitive drills that allow participants to improve their technique, build consistency, and gain valuable game experience alongside fellow volleyball enthusiasts.

Class Schedule:

Week 1 – Ball Control & Serve Receive

• Platform Passing
• Hand Passing
• Passing to Target
• Serve Receive Fundamentals
• Butterfly Drill

Week 2 – Serving & Defense

• Standing Float Serve
• Serve Placement & Consistency
• Base Defense
• Perimeter Defense
• Defensive Movement Drills

Week 3 – Attacking & Blocking

• Approach Footwork
• Arm Swing Mechanics
• Blocking Footwork
• Transition to Attack
• Cross Court Pepper

Week 4 – Game Systems & Scrimmage

• Overview of 5-1 & 6-2 Rotations
• Transition Concepts
• Out-of-System Hitting
• Structured Scrimmage

• Bring your own water bottle
• Only registered players are allowed in the gym; no spectators, please
• Please wear athletic attire and shoes with ankle support

Cancellation Policy:

Attendees who cancel at least 3 days before the start of the program will receive the full cost of their ticket as Big City Volleyball account credit.
