Social Grading Details

At SUNS, we use a Social Grading system for all events. By default, all new players will be graded as New Player and can attend select beginner friendly events to learn the game!

Otherwise, Social Grades are defined as:

• New Player [DUPR 1.5-1.99] Learning rules, scoring, and basic shots
• Standard [DUPR 2.0-2.49] Consistent rallies, developing court awareness
• Intermediate [DUPR 2.5-2.99] Strategic play, good positioning, consistent shots
• Challenger [DUPR 3.0-3.49] Advanced tactics, strong all-round game, competitive
• Advanced [DUPR 3.5+] Tournament-level skills, strategic mastery
