25MAR26: Court resurfacing has been finalised and we now have 8 dedicated Pickleball Courts (goodbye tennis court line markings and temporary nets - yay!). Voyager Tennis is now managing Pickleball sessions via the Voyager Tennis app in lieu of OpenSports. Full links and further information available on our website.

Group Credit Refunds: As of 13 Mar 26 (4.28pm), all Group Credits have been marked for refund via Credit Card used to make initial purchase. These refunds may take 3-5 days to appear in your account. Due to the nature of the system, some people will have multiple refunds (eg, $3, $12, $12 in lieu of a straight $27) as we have to refund against specific events. This covers all Group Credits dating back to when we first started using OpenSports so probably a nice surprise for some of you :). Cheers. Chris.

Hunter Pickleball Inc. (HPI) was among the first local area associations to affiliate with PickleballNSW. Hunter Pickleball Inc. is a 'not-for-profit' organisation. It has been developing and promoting Pickleball in the Hunter Region of NSW since 2017. Through hard-work and a focus on members needs it is now able to provide a variety of venues across the cities of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

The Hub of Pickleball in the Hunter is at the Broadmeadow Basketball Stadium where there are 9 indoor courts, available for play on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. HPI also provides 8 indoor courts at the University of Newcastle Forum at the Callaghan Campus on Saturdays. We continue to play in Wickham at Hunter Badminton on Tuesdays and Fridays.

To ensure a variety of Pickleball experiences HPI has 4 outdoor courts at Marks Oval, Floraville with the capacity for expansion. We play on Tuesday nights, with come & try sessions on some Friday nights. Marks Oval courts are available most days and have lights for night time play. Hunter Pickleball administers these courts and they are open to all HPI members.

AFTER THREE GAMES PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO BECOME A MEMBER OF HUNTER PICKLEBALL INC.

Welcome to PCYC Port Macquarie Pickleball. We operate out of the new PCYC Port Macquarie which opened in April 2024.

The centre has 8 indoor pickleball courts and is wheelchair accessible. The centre also offers a great range of facilities including; tea, coffee, snacks and cold drinks to purchase, free filtered water stations, and change rooms with toilets and showers.

We run regular weekly sessions where we cater for all players in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Our demographic of players is broken up into 6 groups:

Come and Try (Beginners) - Players who are new to pickleball (including coming from other racquet sports). These players MUST complete 2 come and try sessions before moving into our social sessions.

Novice - For players who ARE NOT INTERMEDIATE B or above. It involves players who come out of come and try, players who were previously ranked as 'social' or 'novice'. Access is blocked to all players INT B or higher.

Social - Open to ALL PLAYERS. This session is for players who want to test themselves against higher level players, and for those high-level players to have more of a social hit (with family and friends). Please note this is a SOCIAL SESSION where rallies and even playing is encouraged. This session still requires proper rotation etiquette; there are to be no groups staying on the one court avoiding playing with anyone else.

Intermediate B - Emerging pickleball players who often come from competitive backgrounds in other racquet sports. Players at this level have no trouble scoring or the rules and have started in leagues and comps.

Intermediate A - Experienced pickleball players who train for comps and tournaments. They can create pace, spin, and control to their shots as well as apply strategies.

Advanced - Strictly 3.5+ DUPR.

New players and visitors are always welcome. All equipment is provided. Please wear appropriate sports attire and court shoes. (Running shoes are not recommended.)

PLEASE NOTE: Players must have a current PCYC NSW annual membership which is $20 for juniors (under 18) and $40 for adults.
