How to send an announcement to captains or to all players in your league/tournament (app & web guide)

If you would like to send announcements to captains and/or players who have registered for your league:

From the Web

• From the League or Tournament navigation bar, click on Announcements.
• Click “Make an Announcement”

• Type in the announcement
• Then, select if you want the announcement to go to captains only (otherwise it goes to all Players [which includes players and captains])
• Press Send, and the announcement will be sent to either just captains, or all players (including captains)

From the App

• Make sure you are in the leagues/tournaments environment (trophy icon in the bottom navigation bar)
• Make sure you are viewing the right league/tournament (the title is at the top)
• From the League or Tournament page, scroll down to the Manage Season section where you will find many administrative buttons. Tap on the Announcements button.
• Type in the announcement
• Then, select if you want the announcement to go to captains only, or All Players (which includes players and captains)
• Press Send, and the announcement will be sent to either just captains, or all players (including captains)

How will players receive the announcement

• Here is a preview of the push notification a player will receive when you send them an announcement.
• Players who do not have push notifications enabled will be able to see that they have a new notification the next time they launch the app
• Players who do not have the app will receive the announcements in an email (if they have their email address linked to their OpenSports account)
