You can easily send refunds to players for their league or tournament registration. Here’s more info from Stripe about understanding fees for refunded payments. It's essential to process the refund through OpenSports — not through the Stripe Dashboard to ensure that the OpenSports fee is refunded and that the reports are accurately updated.
You can issue partial refunds and if you need to refund an additional amount later, simply repeat the process.
How to send refunds on App & Web
- Open the app and navigate to the admin view for the desired league or tournament.
- From the league/tournament dashboard, tap on
View Players. - Tap on the player's name. You should see the Player Details page which will show registration details and transaction details.
- Tap on the
Refundbutton to open the refund modal. - Type in the amount that you’d like to refund. Select if you’d also like to remove the player from the league/tournament while refunding them. You can also provide a reason for the refund and/or removal.
- Tap
Refund, and a confirmation alert will pop up. Confirm by tappingYes. You'll be redirected to the Player Details page to view refund details in the Transaction section.
