How to view your Group Account Credit

What is Group Account Credit?

Group Account Credit is a non-refundable credit issued to a player’s account within a specific group on OpenSports. It can be used only for future events, leagues, or tournaments organized by that same group. Players receive Group Account Credit automatically when they cancel their registration before the event’s cancellation deadline, or when an organizer manually issues it.

Why do I have a Group Account Credit?

You have a Group Account Credit because you either canceled your registration for an event before the cancellation deadline or the organizer issued you a credit manually. In some cases, you may also receive credit if an entire event is canceled in accordance with the group’s cancellation policy. This credit is tied to the specific group that issued it and can only be used for future events within that group.

Where do I see my Group Account Credit?

You can view your available Group Account Credit when registering for an event, program, league, or tournament—on both the OpenSports app and website. The credit will appear during the checkout process if it is available.

If your credit does not appear at checkout, it’s likely that you do not have any Group Account Credit, or your balance is negative. If you believe you should have a credit and do not see it, contact the group on OpenSports that you believe issued the credit to resolve the issue.

Receiving and Using Group Account Credit

If a player cancels their registration before the event’s cancellation deadline, they automatically receive a credit to their group-specific account. This credit can only be used for future events, leagues, and tournaments within the same group.

For example, if a player cancels their registration for an event in the “Soccer in the 6ix” group before the cancellation deadline and receives a $15 credit, they can only use that credit toward other events in the "Soccer in the 6ix" group.

Additionally, organizers can manually issue credits to players’ group accounts. These credits function the same way and can only be applied to future events within that specific group.

If an entire event is canceled within its cancellation policy, affected players will receive a credit that can only be used within the same club or league to book another event.

  • Log in to your account at opensports.net.
  • Navigate to the profile page of the club or group that issued the credit.
  • You will see your available Group Account Credit with that specific club.
    • Note: Credits are shown per group—if you're part of multiple groups, visit each group's profile individually to view credits.
