There are two easy ways to edit events after you have created them on OpenSports:
- Edit individual events
- Bulk edit multiple events at once
This guide will show you how to edit and bulk edit events on the OpenSports website and app.
How to edit a single event
- Navitage to your group Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, click Events. You will see all group events listed &emdash; locate the event you want to edit in this list and click on the event name.
- Click on Edit Event on the specific event page.
- You can make edits to all event information and settings except:
- Refund deadline
- Collecting payments through OpenSports
- Note that if you make changes to your custom questions, users who are already registered for the event will not be prompted to complete the questions.
- Once you are done making edits, you have the option to notify event attendees about the changes or not.
- If you select to notify attendees about the changes, they will receive an email or push notification that the event was updated. The notification will not list what changes were made.
How to bulk edit events
You can make the following edits in bulk (i.e., to multiple events at a time):
- Title and Header Image
- Description
- Privacy settings
- Tags
- Navigate to your group Dashboard.
- In the left-hand menu, click Events. You will see all group events listed &emdash; locate the events you want to edit and click on the checkbox next to the event name.
- You can sort your group events by date or status using the dropdown menus in the top right corner.
- To select all events that are being displayed, click the checkbox on the left of the Status column.
- Once you have selected all events you want to edit, click Edit Events. Select and edit the details you want to update.
- Save your edits &emdash; all changes are automatically applied to all selected events. Any event attendees will not be notified of the event updates.
