How to track event attendance

View event check-ins and no-shows

OpenSports Reports allow you to easily track and view the number of check-ins and no-shows your group members have for your group events. This guide will show you how to view member attendance reports.

How to view and export attendance reports

  1. Navigate to your OpenSports group Dashboard.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click on Reports. Then click on Check-Ins.
  3. Select the time frame for which you want to view event attendance from the selector in the top right corner. Make sure to select the correct timezone from the dropdown list.
  4. You will see the following columns in the attendance report:
    • First name and last name
    • Check-Ins: total number of times the member was checked in at a group event within the specified timeframe.
    • No-Shows: total number of times the member was a no-show at a group event within the specified timeframe.
    • Starred: indicates whether the member has been starred or not. The meaning of starring players is up to you.
    • Paid Check-Ins: total number of times the member checked in at a paid event within the specified timeframe.
    • Paid No-Shows: total number of times the member was a no-show at a paid event within the specified timeframe. This means the member paid for their registration but did not attend the event.
    • Free Check-Ins: total number of times the member checked in at a free event within the specified timeframe.
    • Free No-Shows: total number of times the member was a no-show at a free event within the specified timeframe.
  5. The list is sorted alphabetically by the First Name column. You can adjust the sort order by clicking on any of the column headers.
    • Columns are automatically sorted either in alphabetical order or in ascending order. To reverse the sorting order, click on the column header.
  6. To export the attendance report, click on Export. The file will be downloaded as a .csv file, which can be uploaded to Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or other software.
