Round Robin Using Team Selection vs. Round Robin Schedule
Round Robin Schedule
In a standard round robin, all teams are automatically scheduled to play against every other team over the course of the event. Every team is included in every round, and the system runs the full rotation from start to finish. This works well for smaller leagues or when space and time allow all teams to play simultaneously.
Round Robin with Team Selection
Round Robin Team Selection offers more control and flexibility. Instead of automatically scheduling all teams, league or tournament managers can select specific teams to participate in each round. This is ideal for working with limited court space, building schedules separately for each pool, or managing different groups independently. The system still generates matchups automatically, but only among the selected teams for that round. This helps create more balanced matchups, gives teams rest between rounds, and allows organizers to tailor schedules to fit their goals and constraints.
