Welcome to our Avalon Beach Pickleball community! Our group is for all pickleball enthusiasts in and around Sydney, NSW Australia. Whether you’re a beginner who just wants to learn a new sport for fun, or you’re a seasoned player who craves the thrill of more competitive play, pickleball offers something for everyone (subect to our Club's Health and Safety policy).
If you have never played before, our club requires newbies to attend an introductory lesson to learn the basic rules and how to score. We also expect most newbies to attend a Beginner Trial session before being allowed to join in the regular sessions. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. It is an intergenerational game which requires reasonable agility and hand-eye coordination. The rules for pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport. It can also be quite a challenging, fast-paced, and competitive game when people become more experienced at playing. Above all, pickleball is a lot of fun!

Evolve Pickleball has moved to a membership-based club model.
Most sessions, coaching and competitions are now run through our new platform on PlayByPoint.
If you plan to play regularly, the best way to access the full timetable is to join membership.

Membership numbers are capped at each venue to ensure sessions remain enjoyable and not overcrowded.

$29 per week
Unlimited membership is now the main way players access the club.
Members can play multiple times each week without paying per session.

Core membership exists for players who know they will only play occasionally.

• Booking opens after Unlimited priority
If you plan to play more than once per week or want flexibility, Unlimited membership offers much better value.
NEW TO PICKLEBALL
Start with our Kickstart program.
Kickstart includes two coached sessions where we teach the rules, scoring and basic shots so you can confidently join social play.

Most players move straight into membership after completing Kickstart.

OPENSPORTS TRANSITION
OpenSports will remain active during March while we complete the transition to the membership platform.
From April onward, the majority of sessions will only be available through PlayByPoint membership.
Only a small number of casual social sessions will remain available on OpenSports:

All other coaching sessions, competitions and programs are now run through the membership platform.

We run over 130 sessions of social play, tournaments and coaching across 11 Northern Beaches locations every week.
We welcome new players, players with experience and visitors from outside of Sydney.

If you’re planning to visit us please fill out the visitor application form on our website to apply for free temporary membership.
Please remember to use your original login details when you access your OpenSports account from a new device. Creating multiple accounts through Facebook, email, Apple ID etc., creates a lot of work for us, and may mean you miss out on playing opportunities. If you forgot your password, please request a reset.

We are a non-profit club affiliated with both Pickleball NSW & Pickleball Australia in Sydney that is run by VOLUNTEERS.
Our ethos is Fun, Fitness & Friendship, to also promote the game of pickleball on the Lower North Shore Region in Sydney, NSW, Australia.
We run sessions of social play, player improvement & competitive play for all level of players from absolute beginners to more advanced players.

We also ask after playing with us you once you join our club before attending another play. Unless it is a public holiday, you must be a financial member of WilloBees to play with us on public holidays.
