Welcome to our Avalon Beach Pickleball community! Our group is for all pickleball enthusiasts in and around Sydney, NSW Australia. Whether you’re a beginner who just wants to learn a new sport for fun, or you’re a seasoned player who craves the thrill of more competitive play, pickleball offers something for everyone (subect to our Club's Health and Safety policy).
If you have never played before, our club requires newbies to attend an introductory lesson to learn the basic rules and how to score. We also expect most newbies to attend a Beginner Trial session before being allowed to join in the regular sessions. Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. It is an intergenerational game which requires reasonable agility and hand-eye coordination. The rules for pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport. It can also be quite a challenging, fast-paced, and competitive game when people become more experienced at playing. Above all, pickleball is a lot of fun!

We run over 160 sessions of social play, tournaments and coaching across 11 Northern Beaches locations every week.
We welcome new players, players with experience and visitors from outside of Sydney.

Creating multiple accounts through Facebook, email, Apple ID etc., creates a lot of work for us, and may mean you miss out on playing opportunities.
