The Brisbane Bayside Pickleball Club runs weekly pickleball sessions at venues throughout the beautiful bayside suburbs of Brisbane.

Each week, our members (and their family and friends), have a "ball" playing this addictive sport. Our pickleball sessions range from beginner "come 'n' try" sessions, and social sessions through to competitive league play.

Our facilities all have lighting, allowing us to run both day and night time pickleball sessions.

Whether you are a "hit & giggle" player or a serious competitive player, all our sessions are fun, social, and very friendly.

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in Australia (and the world) and our club is growing from strength to strength.

Why not get in contact with us and start enjoying this fabulous game. play@baysidepickleballclub.com

PICKLEBALL is a paddle sport you can learn in minutes and play for a lifetime.

It brings together elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong to create a sport that’s fun for all ages and skill levels, but gets fast-paced and exhilarating at competitive levels.

How is pickleball different to other net sports?

It’s easier to pick up than many net sports

It’s lower impact than tennis, so it’s easier on the body

It focuses on quick reflexes and aiming, rather than spiking the ball, powerful serves, or running speed

These differences open pickleball up to a greater range of players. Whether you’ve been playing tennis your whole life, or you’re walking onto a court for the first time; whether you’re young, old, or in between; whether you’re strategic and competitive, or just want to get involved in something fun, social, or active… PICKLEBALL is for you.

Brand new to Pickleball?
We highly recommend you attend one of our Come & Try Sessions for a thorough introduction to the sport; here you will learn the rules, court positioning, how to hold your paddle, and our club style of play. Our hosts can then suggest further sessions for you based on your ability.
These Come & Try sessions are usually held each Friday at Shaw Park (Wooloowin), each Saturday at Aspley East, each Tuesday at The Gap, each Sunday at Mt Gravatt, weekly at Rocklea and Wakerley, or monthly at Balmoral on a Saturday. We also hold two sessions on a Saturday at Albion (booked via Meetup app).
OR email venue@brisbanepickleballclub.com to request the best time for you.

To easily see our sessions on this app, please request to join our group via this link here - https://opensports.net/brisbane-pickleball-club?c=BPC\_OpenSports and we will approve your request. If you are becoming a paid member of our club, this is an important step that needs to be completed so we can tag you on this app as a Club Member and you can access special session rates and member only sessions, thank you in advance!

IMPORTANT - for first time attendees, please complete our waiver form via the below link before attending, unless you have paid for our club membership already. This completed form will cover you for insurance for the first 3-4 sessions while you try pickleball; after that we advise you to take up a paid membership, so you have insurance while you play - https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeKTZIHM\_GnehEZ2uEsXfgSsqVXSnH1J-y6exavSISln0kJcg/viewform?vc=0\&c=0\&w=1\&flr=0

Guideline to Player Levels for booking into our events.
Player levels are not meant to box anyone into one level, this is simply a guideline. A more detailed explanation can be found in the "Announcements" section below.
– First Timers: Never played pickleball before.
– Beginners: If you are just learning the fundamentals of the game, you are a beginner!
– Recreational players: You know how to serve and keep score, and you understand the two bounce and non volley zone rules. You can hit the ball if it comes to you, but with little strategy or control. You may have some mobility problems that keep you from playing in the optimal position.
– Lower Intermediate players: You are beginning to learn the soft game, but you have more success hitting it hard, so that’s what you usually do. Your serving goal is simply to get it in. You have longer rallies due to your athletic ability, but you often choose power over control.
– Upper intermediate players: You have a better ability to see the “whole” court and are placing your shots.
– Advanced Competitive players: You are able to use a variety of shots including lobs, spin, dinks and drive shots with a purpose and at the right time.
